DetailsThis vintage drafting set was produced in the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) by VEB Schulreisszeugbau Mühlhausen. The case is marked “made in gdr” and model NEH 1/7.
The set includes metal compasses, technical drawing tools and accessories, preserved in the original black textured case. A Koh-I-Noor Hardtmuth 1500 pencil (Czechoslovakia, 3H) is included as shown in the photos.
The instruments show light signs of age and storage, consistent with a 1970s technical school set. The metal elements remain solid and functional. The case has visible wear on the corners, which adds to its authentic vintage character.
This piece works beautifully as industrial desk decor, an architect’s gift, or a display object for lovers of East German design and mid-century technical aesthetics.
