DetailsVintage Pentaka 8 movie camera produced by VEB Pentacon in East Germany during the late 1950s / early 1960s.
A beautifully designed mid-century film camera featuring the classic Carl Zeiss Jena Biotar 12.5mm lens. The camera has a strong industrial design typical for DDR camera engineering of that period.
The camera was tested:
• spring motor winds and runs
• film reels rotate correctly
• frame rate adjustment works (faster / slower speeds)
• aperture ring moves smoothly
• lens glass appears clean
• mechanical functions operate normally
The camera comes with its original leather carrying case with built-in exposure calculator.
